LIQUIDAMBAR STYRACIFLUA - AMERICAN SWEET GUM
A medium sized tree with maple-like leaves and a tall and straight growing habit, soft, cork-like bark on the branches and a pale grey trunk. A very popular ornamental tree with neat form and outstanding autumn colour as well as an attractive bark. The liquidambar gives garden interest throughout the year with deep green leaves through the summer months and stunning autumn colour. Liquidambar will colour up well in warmer conditions making it a great option as a North Island specimen.
