MELIA AZEDARACH - INDIAN BEAD TREE
A medium sized canopying tree with a spreading crown and sparsely branched limbs. The bark becomes fissured with age and leaves are a fresh green and oblong in shape. It has a cute lilac flower followed by marble-sized yellow/orange berries over the winter which are a real hit with the native wood pigeon. A great specimen for a larger area that needs shade in summer, it also makes a great street or avenue tree.
