PITTOSPORUM CRASSIFOLIUM - KARO
Fast growing and hardy, the Karo is a small to medium sized tree which grows tall and straight. Dense grey/green rounded shaped leaves are leathery on top and furry underneath and branches are soft and fleshy while young. A contender for one of the hardiest hedging plants around as it has a strong resistance to pest and disease and is able to cope with salty harsh conditions and even mild droughts. It attracts native birds and has a fragrant scent at night. Flowers spring to early summer.
